Arrow Bwoy Family

Arrow Bwoy’s Father is from Kakamega while his Mother is from Uganda.

His Father is polygamous. (He is married to more than one wife)

But from his father and mother alone, he is the last born of 4 siblings. Where all the siblings are boys.

He grew up in a domestic violence household, his parents would fight publicly.

Arrow Bwoy Education

Arrow Bwoy attended Ndururuno Primary School located in Huruma; NairobiKenya.

Where he studied until Class 6 before his mother transferred him to Uganda so as to protect him from all the things that were happening at home.

Uganda was offering free primary education.

He studied there from class 7 until form 6 under the Ugandan education system.

Arrow Bwoy Early Hustle Life

Arrow Bwoy later returned to Kenya after the completion of his secondary education.

He lived with his brother who was selling Samosas and groundnuts at the Nairobi City Market located in NairobiKenya.

He later worked at the same market as a fish scraper & monger and also sold regular meat.

Through that work, he managed to buy his first car and also built his parents a house.

He has also worked in a hotel lodging as a cleaner and as room service.

Arrow Bwoy’s Music Journey

  • Trio Group

Arrow Bwoy started in 2012 in a trio group known as Qbic Crew.

They released three singles namely; Tam Tam, Angelina and Make You Mine.

After 3 years, the group’s chemistry ended due to financial and cooperation issues.

  • Solo Career

In 2015, Arrow Bwoy embarked on a solo career.

He went by the stage name Arrow Bwoy, his previous stage name was Ali Kiwa.

In July 2016, he released his first single known as Mdogo Mdogo.

At that time he was still doing the job of supplying meat.

While in Matatu’s, he would note down the emails of deejays that their mixes were played.

He would later add them to his email list and send them his songs after every release.

During his free time at Nairobi City Market, he would go to Da Factory Klub.

It was a show that was normally held at the Kenya National Theatre.

Da Factory Klub Kenya is a movement and a community of budding, upcoming

and established artists who continuously explore the reinvention of artistic

 technique and creative thought in Kenya.

Arrow Bwoy was later called by the host; Owago Nyiro to perform at the show.

Three days after his performance, he received a call from King Kaka who was in the audience during the show.

He said he liked his work and wanted to work with him on a song.

He later sent him the beat and Arrow Bwoy later sent him the chorus.

King Kaka was satisfied and they later met at the studio. After talks, Arrow Bwoy agreed to be signed to Kaka Empire in 2016.

Kaka Empire is a record label owned by Kenyan Musician: King Kaka.

In July of 2017, Arrow Bwoy released his first song under Kaka Empire titled Murder.

After some time he started to get recognition and exposure.

He later released Digi Digi in September of 2017 and the song was a huge success.

Despite the song being a success he was still broke.

He started questioning Kaka Empire to know why his song was a success but hadn’t received any money.

He was told to calm down and that everything takes time.

The management later received a call from Mauritius, where they wanted him to go and perform there.

They were offering a good sum of money.

When he arrived in Mauritius, he received an amazing reception at the airport that made him emotional.

He later performed in a stadium with over 10,000 fans.

They were all singing his 2018 song; Jango Love which had gained more popularity there in Mauritius.

At that time the only performance he had ever done was at B-Club in NairobiKenya.

He was so surprised that he had a lot of fans in a foreign country.

In 2018, he left Kaka Empire after his 2-year contract expired.

He left the record label on good terms after having an emotional meeting with them.

  • Debut album:- Hatua

Arrow Bwoy released his debut album in 2019 titled ‘Hatua’.

The 13-track album featured artists such as: Mayorkun, Jovial, Fena GituFenamenal’, Demarco and Cecile.

He proceeded to do an album tour in the United States of America.

He had planned to do a Europe tour in 2020 but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he couldn’t.

He resulted in doing an Online Virtual Show instead.

  • 2nd album:- Focus

He recently released his second album in 2022 titled ‘Focus’.

The initial 15-track album contained features from artists such as B Classic 006, Sanaipei Tande, Otile Brown, Dufla Diligon, Spice Diana, Nandy and Nadia Mukami.

He had an online alteration with Otile Brown where Otile Brown claimed the song with him titled ‘Show Me’ that is on the album is an unfinished song / Demo and that he had warned him several times not to release.

He demanded he should drop the song from the album.

After several backs and forth, Arrow Bwoy removed the song and him from the album, taking the tracklist count down to 14.

  • Utembe World

Arrow Bwoy has an ‘umbrella‘ known as Utembe World that has a record label and a music academy.

The record label currently has one signee known as Iyanii.

Iyanii has released hit songs such as Memories, Pombe/Above The Head, Furaha, two Furaha Remixes: One including Tanzanian star: Harmonize

The music academy focuses on teaching people music production.

Arrow Bwoy Relationship with Nadia Mukami

Arrow Bwoy is in a relationship with fellow Kenyan musician and pop star; Nadia Mukami.

  • Proposal

Arrow Bwoy proposed to her during the Focus Album Launch on 13th March 2022.

  • Baby Boy

They later announced on 20th March 2022  that they are expecting a baby boy.

The child was later born on 24th March 2022 and was named Haseeb Kai.

Other Info.

He once participated in Tusker Project Fame (TPF) but was unsuccessful.

Arrow Bwoy is a member of the Muslim religion.

He once met American Rapper and Songwriter; 50 Cent.
