Anita Raftery Nderu is a multi-talented Kenyan professional whose roles encompass TV/Radio Presenter, Journalist, MC, Digital Content Creator, Strategist, and Voice Over Artist.

She won the Best Dressed Female Media Personality in Africa award at the 2017 edition of the Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards (ASFA), held in Kampala, Uganda.

Anita Nderu married her longtime fiancé, Barrett Raftery, in a traditional wedding ceremony on Sunday, September 5th, 2021.

The event took place at the Fort Smith Gardens in Loresho, Kenya.

The traditional ceremony is known as Ruracio in the Kikuyu culture.

Anita Nderu later held a modern white wedding, marrying American Environmentalist Barrett Raftery again on Thursday, September 9th, 2021.

It was held at a luxury country lodge in Mount Kenya, Meru County, and attended by close friends and family, including her cousin, Actress Sarah Hassan, and her sister, Vanessa Nderu among others.

On July 11th, 2022, Anita Nderu and her husband, Barrett Raftery, announced they were expecting their first child.

The announcement was made via a highly creative, glam video posted on Instagram.

Their daughter, Kaya Gacheri Catalina Raftery, was born on August 26th, 2022, at 3:48 am.

Anita shared that although she had a birth plan and hoped for a natural delivery, she ultimately underwent an emergency C-section. 

This was necessary because the baby’s prolonged high heartbeat and the umbilical cord being wrapped around the baby’s face posed a risk.

Tetu Shani, whose full name is Ezra Tetu Shani, is a Kenyan Musician, Artist, Performer, Songwriter, voice-over artist, Self–taught Percussionist and guitarist.

Sho Madjozi welcomed her baby, a baby boy in 2025.

On November 7th, 2025, during an emotionally candid discussion with South African media personality Nandi Madida on “The Motherhood Network Book Club,” she shared a powerful and personal account saying:

Betty Kyallo later made a TV comeback, being unveiled as TV 47 News Reporter on May 3rd, 2024, after nearly 4 years.

She hosts a show called “This Friday with Betty” every Friday at 9 PM, and another called “Say What?” every Saturday at 9 PM.

Every Friday, she reports the news, then sits down for interviews with various public figures, including politicians, entrepreneurs, comedians, artistes, and entertainers.

Betty won TV/Online Influencer of the year at the 2020 Africa Digital Influencer Awards.

Betty Kyallo ranked 8th of the 2020 Top 200 Most Influential Women on Twitter (now called X).

It’s the prison that Pablo Escobar built for himself.

It served as the headquarters (HQ) for the Medellín Cartel, where all operations were conducted.

The deal was that his extradition to the USA would only be avoided if he ceased his reign of terror and agreed to serve time in the private prison he had constructed.

No police or government troops were allowed within 3 Kilometres of the premises.

Kamtupe is a crime thriller film written and directed by King Kaka. It was produced by Kaka Empire Films in conjunction with Ambition Media House. My Name is Omosh is a film written by Kennedy Odhiambo alias Crazy Kennar and directed by King Kaka. The film centers on Omosh, an aspiring creative navigating the challenges of job hunting, romantic relationships, and daily life. A memorable scene depicts his job interview where, in a misguided effort to impress, he accidentally slaps an interviewer, jeopardizing his opportunity.
